Tamara de Lempicka
5 May - 19 Jun 2004

Perhaps the most famous artist of the Art Deco period and herself an icon of the jazz age in France and America, Tamara de Lempicka created some of the most memorable images of the 1920s and 30s.

To coincide with her Royal Academy exhibition, Robert Sandelson showed a selection of Lempicka drawings and watercolours from the inter-war period. These heady years saw her immortalise the atmosphere of wealth and decadence for which Paris had become famous.
