Barbara Hepworth was undoubtedly one of the most significant British artists of the twentieth century.
Her consistent vision and commitment to a vocabulary of simplified geometric sculptural forms first developed in the 1930s whilst she exhibited alongside artists such as Piet Mondrian, Jean Arp, Naum Gabo, Henry Moore and Ben Nicholson in the International Movement.
