Contemporary British Artist

Muirne Kate Dineen practices the ancient Indian art of Araash, a technique she learnt with a master craftsman in Rajasthan. Araash, or as it is known in English, Jaipuri fresco painting, is used to decorate walls or stones by combining layers of marble dust and slaked lime, grinding the mixture till smooth and then beating in pigments to make patterns.

Kate Dineen applies this technique to create contemporary sculptures of luminous colours.
